EARLY CHILDHOOD THERAPY
PARENT SUPPORT
I support parents with concerns about their child’s development, attachment, learning, and behavior.
-
Have trouble with your child’s challenging behaviors, reactivity, and/or regression?
-
Need to understand your child’s learning challenges?
-
Recognize that what you are doing isn’t working for the child you have?
-
Want to parent more positively but are not sure how?
-
Hope to respond to your child in effective and connected ways?
Even more precious than time is attention.

Supporting Parents, Listening to Children

PLAY THERAPY

I use play and expressive arts therapy to help you understand the emotional and sensory needs that drive your child’s behaviors.

-
Does your child appear hyperactive?
-
Have difficulty with transitions?
-
Take hours to fall asleep?
-
Have problems in school?
-
Appears rough or “aggressive,” but cries over the smallest hurt?
Play is the natural language for children. Through play they tell us what they need, what they want, what they are thinking. Play and expressive arts are the perfect vehicle for healing trauma and attachment issues. Play with a parent strengthens their bond, helps them regulate, and builds trust, safety, and communication.
ABOUT SUZANNE
I offer play therapy and parent support for children (ages 1-10) and their families. My areas of experience include positive parenting, family transitions, alternative families, adoption, and the impact of trauma on a child’s development, attachment, and learning.
